Amandine's Plot Treize

'Zephyr' courgette plant

Back in May, a friend and I swapped seeds and she gave me 'Zephyr' courgette seeds, one I've never grown before.

I sowed all my courgettes the same week, planted them out at the same time but I couldn't have done succession sowing better if I'd tried - 1st to produce was 'Ronde de Nice', which now looks knackered and has just started slowing down. Followed closely by the 'Bianca di Trieste' and 'Lemona', which I'm currently harvesting.

And finally, this Zephyr which sat there sulking for a long time and has just started growing and flowering...

Yay to late summer courgette harvests - especially as this one looks quite funky. That's if I'm not fed up with eating courgettes by then, haha!
