Good to see Mrs Blackbird at the bird bath this evening.   What a difference a day makes, it's been much brighter but still cold at 16 degrees.   We had over 3cms of rain yesterday, I say over as my rain gauge holds 3cms and it was over the maximum mark, over the first 5 days of August we've had 5cms, that's more than we had in June and July together.
This morning i made some Bramble Gin, thought I'd better get the blackberries before the weather spoils them.    Hoping it turns out OK as some is intended for gifts later in the year.
A visit from both Steven and Maddie made it a most enjoyable Sunday morning.
