THE PELOTON

I had the privilege of attending the 2003 UCI Cycling World Championships with Gordon, Annie, her mum and Darcy to see world class cyclists riding through Falkirk as they raced from Edinburgh to Glasgow covering over 270 km. The race was won by the Dutch rider Mathieu van der Poel who crashed just before the finish but managed to recover in time to finish first!
