Finishing Daniel.....
We are still in Central Texas with triple digit temperatures for days on end and no rain in the forecast, but God is sovereign, even during a Texas summer, so we gathered at FBC, grateful for air conditioning, to join our hearts and voices in praise and worship to honor God Who is still on His throne and in control! We began with a congregational song and the welcome from Chris. The July sabbatical for the choir and orchestra is over, so we were back in the loft and on stage with a stirring version of "Mercy Tree". After more congregational praise and worship, Pastor Wes took us into Daniel to finish Chapter 12 and urge us to recognize that our proper response to what we have seen and heard over these last weeks of studying Daniel with all the prophecies that have been fulfilled and all those yet to be fulfilled is to endure in faithfulness to God. Victory over sin and death and all the powers of hell is not our responsibility-----Jesus has already won the battle and will return and reward us at the appointed time, if we endure and continue to faithfully do what He has already told us to do in His written word, so that those who don't already have a personal relationship with Him can see His work in our lives and be drawn to Him. Pastor Wes explains it all so well in the Live-stream which would be well worth your time to watch. At the end of our service, we saw a video report on all the youth activities and ministry over the summer including Camp Eagle and The Guatemala mission trip, It is good to see our youth involved in ministry and missions......
