Steampunk!

Our community choir went "on tour" today  and took coaches to Hebden Bridge for the Steampunk Festival.  The forecast was dire, but our leader's idea was that if it poured down we could try to get into a pub and sing there! We went our separate ways upon arrival, and the group I was in went to a lovely Persian vegetarian restaurant for a very tasty lunch  As we left it started to drizzle, but after we had sung our first song it stopped so we were very lucky.  A good audience, and 10 songs performed. Some of the group then went to the pub.  We stayed to watch the dancers and then had a look around the town until it was time to go home.  Had an amusing chat with the lovely chaps in the main photo. Some rather random singing on the coach home :-)) and we were conveniently dropped off in our village as we passed through. A great day out, and already looking forward to Steampunk in Haworth in October!. A few more photos in extras.
