Basura.

The council kindly supplies recycling and general-purpose bins on most streets in the village, which are emptied regularly. The streets are also swept and cleaned. There is a notice by these bins asking not to dump voluminous waste there, but to phone the council for free collection from your house, or to take it yourself to the municipal tip (as we did with an old sofa). This is the sight which greeted us today. The residents are up in arms, quite rightly.
