Peacock ( Aglais io )

After seeing very few butterflies and those only whites suddenly we have colour..  Today two Peacocks and a Small Tortoiseshell.  One of the Peacocks posed on a white chair in the sun, making exposure difficult.

This is of course the European Peacock, I understand the Americans have a Peacock from an entirely different genus.  Peacocks should do well round here as the caterpiller food plant is the common nettle.
