A monumental task
There are 48000 panes of glass in the roof of Glasgow central station. The roof was refurbished in 1999 and had not been cleaned since then. Network Rail who operate the station have now embarked on the job of cleaning each pane of glass.
The photo hopefully shows the before and after. it would be more apparent had the clouds not obscured the sun. The middle row has been cleaned, the top and bottom rows have not.
There are a few broken panes so hopefully these will be replaced at the same time.
