Gulls must have an amazing sense of vision, hearing or smell, as hundreds appear, seemingly from nowhere, when they see a field being tilled.  Two tractors were breaking up the soil after the barley was harvested two weeks ago and a couple of fields away the oil seed rape was being cut.  It won’t be long before brown fields are seen among the golden fields of grain and green pastures.
