Spain 2023, Day 15, Soila

Our last day of walking in Spain came around all too quickly but we finished with a beauty and a visit to the Parque Natural de Izki. We had decided on a route up, over and around a mountain called Soila. It was all in all a delight, as we sat on the summit we were surrounded by hundreds of butterflies and huge raptors were circling overhead. At one point they came so close we genuinely thought it was a plane going by so noisy was the sound off of their gliding wings. The descent was a little more tricky involving ropes to cling hold of as you edged down but once that was done it was a walk of a million butterflies once more
