Sunshine in the garden

I spent a happy half hour or so in the garden, watering the pots.  This tiny creature - moth? Butterfly? - flitted to and fro, often hard to see against the darker or more wilted patches of foliage. If anyone can let me know what it is, I'd be really grateful! I will also have a go at looking it up.
This year I feel I have noticed more moths, butterflies and bee varieties in the garden than usual. Perhaps it's been a good year. Perhaps, with luck, local neighbourhood efforts to increase biodiversity are making a difference.
