Tinkering and Treasure
Safely home at around 2am, and have deliberately had an extremely lazy day, catching up on "Fr Mike" and my diary, eating, napping, talking, arranging events, wandering into the garden to eat ripe figs and golden grapes, and just adjusting to being in such a different place to Manchester.
Mike found some heat resistant putty and has filled the holes that were developing in our kettle, stopping it from whistling. And my haul of treasure from England, some new, some from Oxfam.
Thinking of Julia, doing her first night tonight, and Tom coping with Eden (who is still feeding during the night) on his own. May it go well for them all.
Gratefuls:
- the luxury of a lazy day
- cooling off a bit now; been too hot to be outside for most of the day
- Mike mostly over whatever he had, Covid maybe?
