Grayson

As I was queuing to get into the Grayson Perry exhibition for my second visit, the elderly New Town gent (encased in tweed) in front of me looked at this portrait, turned to his wife, and said “ he doesn’t look happy, I think he’s troubled”. His wife (clearly used to him) said “actually I think he looks very confident and defiant”. To which her husband could only reply “well, he’s not the sort of chap I’d want to play snooker with in the club”. Quite how I kept a straight face I’m not sure.

Before that I’d had a coffee and a business chat. Later, me and Mrs S headed over to Gullane for dinner at The Main Course.
