A Window to the Underworld
This is the front of the Lovatt Gallery in the High Street. The owner makes quirky objets from enamelled birds and leaves and copper wire, often mounted on old cotton reels and other odds and ends. She runs workshops where you can make your own. Odds and ends of sentimental value can be incorporated. I mean to have a go, some day.
I used to be scared to stand on these as a child. I had visions of falling through into a cellar full of ... who knew what. I don't see many these days, all tarmaced over, I suppose.
I just can't seem to get back into daily blipping. I do take pictures, but they don't get posted till days later, if at all.
It's not going to improve anytime soon. Lots of visitors = endless laundry and in between we snatch trips away - have to make the most of the summer, even if it's not very summery.
I hope to managed to post some of the backlog of shots soon. Blip is wonderful for keeping track of the passing days, I just need to settle back to the routine of actually blipping!
