It makes for the best day when Son, Rani, Nani, and Flynn come to visit.  Today, Son phoned early in the afternoon that they were coming, but didn't say what time.  No problem as we had no plans.  They were here about 16.00 and stayed for dinner.  Everyone talked about their holidays.  They had a fabulous time in Norway and recommended the southern part to us.  We will follow this advice one day.  It was truly magical, they said.  At another time, they intend to do the northern part.

Later in the evening, long after they'd left, Son texted AW and said they enjoyed their visit a lot.  Well, we did, too.  After they had gone, instead of kitchen duties, I took a nap which lasted for hours.  Woke up at 22.15 and checked my mail, then half an hour later AW went upstairs and I ended up going back to bed.  No kitchen duties this evening, the pile can wait.

Much earlier in the day, email communication from the Viking -- the Petition he prepared for the Court of Appeals is finished, the Opposition have been provided with copies, and the whole bundle will be filed tomorrow.  I have read it and it makes sense.  Short text communique with Mimi -- we are both sure our suspect will contact her again in the near future.

In the evening, while I was napping, the Dutch won two more gold at the Cycling World Championships in Glasgow -- the Madison ('koppelkoers') and the Individual Time Trials.  Will just watch the replays on the news website.  Thankful for our victories today!

Most of all, thankful to the Viking for his very hard work, and, cherry on the cake, thankful for the lovely time with family.  Nani gives the best granddaughter hugs AW and I could wish for.
