Day spent mostly at Benmore Botanical gardens ( linked with Edinburgh Royal Botanic Gardens) having the best time. Weather was perfect sunny / cloudy and warm. We walked for hours, the scenery and planting was delightful , some very exotic stuff and spectacular. We went to a Chilean rain forest glade , a Bhutanese temple, a Japanese valley and a Tasmanian Ridge . All surrounding an old Victorian gothic baronial house , walled gardens, fernery, golden gates etc etc. Sadly built
With Slave trading money . Now doing great botanical environmental and educational work .
We came across this chubby red squirrel who was hilarious , just stuffing it’s with peanuts , see extra. Chatted with so many people wanting to pet Basil because they’re on holiday and missing their dog , and he is very cute when being well behaved !
Dunoon for Co-op shop, swimming pool for sauna, hot tub and shower and back to the perfect little Ardentinney to camp for the night, bottle of excellent Skye golden ale and a win at Backgammon. Happy day no 5 in the camper .
