Dismantling

Most evidence of the weekend’s Food Festival has been cleared away but the big wheel has taken longer to dismantle. I wonder if Tom Hanks knows his image is being used to entice kids, big and small, onto a fairground ride? Would he care?
I was up at the allotment again, pretty much repeating yesterday’s work of strimming and weeding but I did get some seeds sown - spinach, kale, cavolo nero and mizuna. Hoping for a harvest of winter greens though the slug army may have different ideas. By the time I left, the big wheel was collapsed onto its trailer and ready to roll onto its next event.
Then onto the tenpin for our first league match of the season and our first full points score. Alan, a new addition to the team, was the star of the first game. It helped that he wasn’t sporting an injury, unlike the two others! We’re like the walking wounded sometimes!
