Shredded

What a find to make this huge pile of shredded texts in aluminum and put the artwork on show!

It made me think of the elderly I nursed today; all suffering in different stages from Alzheimer and thus their brain shreds pieces of their memories day by day; essential memories shredded unwantedly by this disease. I'm glad most of them are up and about still and share their pieces of memories with us and amongst each other ~ they live in a closed off ward and enjoyed today the summerly warm afternoon on the large balcony of the old home; I prefer this old home to the new where design seems often more important than the people living there.
