Afternoon cake

Played Scrabble with my friend today for the first time in ages. I made lunch and Gretta Anna’s Hungarian Chocolate Torte Janty for afters. Just about everyone had this book and made this cake back in the day. Originally printed in 1978 , it still has recipes that have stood the test of time. I remember how much booze went into a lot of the recipes - whole bottles of wine o and 1/2 bottles of vermouth or brandy.
