What a difference a day makes....

A gloriously warm and sunny day today! So the perfect day to get back out in nature and have a little wander at the local nature reserve.  There's a spoonbill over there at the moment, apparently, but it stayed hidden from me!!  But I did spot my first Clouded Yellow butterfly of the year, along with some lovely Small Heaths.

Quite a few birders there today, some of whom had travelled from Hertfordshire so was lovely chatting with them, along with the warden and some volunteers who were strimming a few areas.  Could have easily nodded off on the bench in the sunshine!!

And Happy National Book Lovers Day to all the bookworms out there! I've taken time out this afternoon for a spot of reading - Klara by Kazuo Ishiguro - in the shade with an ice lolly!
