Tartan
A bit of culture in the capital today. Took in a photography exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery that I had been wanting to visit (followed by a quick wander around some of the other galleries - see above) in the morning and then after lunch went to a show at the Fringe.
It was a musical tour through Scotland's history, with the words of Robert Louis Stevenson, Robert Burns, Mary Queen of Scots, and others given new treatment through drama and music by the young people of Glasgow Acting Academy. The musical 'Auld Lang Sing' was written and produced by one of the women who, in her spare time, also plays the organ and keyboard at our church.
Enough culture for one day - tonight's plan is to park myself in front of the TV and watch the football. Don't think there will be any tartan in evidence this time around.
