i took a brief walk - around the property and - across the way - following the telltale - sound of hummingbirds - but not able to see - i finally landed on a - huge tree and just stood - for a moment listening - then glanced up not really - expecting anything but then - noticed movement in the branches - along with a tiny bit - of glistening color

and that’s when - i saw him sitting there - just sitting - looking like he was - taking a rest on - a branch of the tree - snap, snap and i backed - away as quietly as - i could knowing - it had just become…
