Three's a crowd

This is the North Bridge Arcade looking towards North Bridge from the Cockburn Street entrance.

The arcade is a short link between the two streets and despite improvements that include repair and reinstatement of the original features such as the mosaic ceiling and ornate leaded glass dome, it's not what you would call a lively shopping experience. This is pretty much as busy as it gets unless its raining with locals using it as a short cut, like the guy in this photograph.

On the left used to be an art shop, now empty, and the travel shop on the right advertises it's presence with flags of the nations of the world - and England too. I'm pretty sure the bike isn't part of any travel deal.
