Day Tripper

We hired a car for three days and today we went to visit the Red Tower near Mellieha which is on a high ridge. From up here and from the top of the tower you can see the islands of Comino in front and Gozo behind.

The top right picture is the Red Tower, the left right picture is the stairway up to the top of one of the turrets and the bottom picture is the ferry leaving Malta on its journey to Gozo.

The original stairway was stone which fell into disrepair and the metal rungs were put in in the 1900,s. info here for those interested.

The bottom picture is a bit fuzzy as I had to use the zoom on my iPhone. My camera battery has gone unfortunately and I am really hacked fed up. I am hoping I don't have to buy a new one!!!
