Purple Peak

For once, I had a good week for my butterfly survey, and chose the right day. It was warm, sunny and hardly any breeze. There were loads of butterflies around - mostly Whites and Gatekeepers, but a sprinkling of other species. There were lots of families picnicking by the Brook and children playing in the water. The moors were at their best with the heather in full flower.
