Younger Than Springtime . . Rodgers & Hammerstein
I still maintain it is winter but the daffodils are making making a bright showing. The yellow ones are from the foresters Uncle Donald. He grew them as a hobby and after his memorial service in 2022 we were encouraged to take a bucket of bulbs. I did and last year they just grew leaves. It was pleasing to see the flowers this year. Also at the memorial we were encouraged to take a memento from his house. I chose the crystal vase in the blip.
The extra is Alan grafting bud wood onto our apricot tree. The late brother in law had an old apricot tree which is a reliable giver of fruit. Our apricot tree has been here four years and produced nothing. Today Alan took wood from bil's tree and has grafted it onto our tree. Here's hoping something will happen in the fullness of time.
Happy weekend to all.
