Summertime...

And a surprising number of gooseberries and blueberries have evaded the pigeons and blackbirds in the garden. Fruit compote, possibly fruit sorbet in the making.
I met Val for a cup of tea at our local cafe: a good catch up, though no walk this time. Then Jack & Marianna came to lunch with Frieda & Simone, and we had a lovely, relaxed time. Simone is at that delightful stage where - by making funny faces and blowing raspberries - you are rewarded with a huge gummy smile and a whole-body wriggle of pleasure. Frieda's still needing a lot of reassurance, as she navigates this new territory, but she's doing well.
Later, Patricia (old friend) popped in too.
A full day, by my current standards :-)
A late afternoon nap followed...
