Stourport-on-Severn

Beautiful day with my brothers Eamonn and John and their wives. Our eldest brother Liam died 10 years ago, he had a Catholic funeral and a cremation. We kept hold of his ashes not really knowing the best place for them. We would have loved to take his ashes to India. He loved India so much, even when he was terminally ill he made it back there. So we decided we would give him a Hindu scattering of ashes. His ashes were put in a biodegradable urn and mixed with water from the Ganges. The boat took us a little way out, we shared funny stories, laughter and tears. We lowered the urn into the water, said our goodbyes again and threw blessed dried flowers. It was beautiful.
Afterwards we went for lunch. It was so lovely spending the day with the family. The weather was glorious.
Extra pictures- Ozzy the mechanical bull at Birmingham New Street. He is magnificent.
