The Kiltwalk

What Question was 84 year old Sheila asking?

Kiltwalkers meet Sheila Wylie. Sheila, pictured above, is enjoying a well deserved massage after completing the 13 mile Edinburgh Half Kiltwalk, at the tender age of 84.

As someone who has taken part in several Kiltwalks and also lends a hand on Kiltwalk day I've met a cross section of wonderful people. Some have wonderful stories, others heartbreaking and I remember then all. However as long as I'm involved with The Kiltwalk, which hopefully is for many years to come, I'll never forget meeting Shelia, who is quite simply one of the nicest, bubbliest, sweetest and most positive people I've met and watching her walk across the finish line, with a smile on her face and a look as if she's just finished a stroll round the garden, was simply a delight.

The one regret I had was that as Shelia crossed the line, I was so busy clapping for her, I didn't get to capture a picture. So its a huge thanks to Oor Shaun Ward, who saved the day by taking this great shot of one of our Massage Angels tending to her.

Shelia celebrates her 85th birthday in July and has committed to take part in "at least" a 10K walk in five years time to mark the occasion of her 90th birthday.

Shelia you're a Kiltwalk inspiration to us all and we look forward to seeing you again in 2018, if not before? :-)

So finally, here's the the answer to "what question did she ask?" and the answer wil, I'm sure, make you smile as she asked "Do you think I'll be fine in the morning as I've 9 holes to play"
