Do You Like Butter?

For those of you that read yesterday's commentary: it's now back to Chris writing (but Annie is collaborating). :)

After a couple of proper sunny days, today seemed overcast but later the sun did break through and as I left the office the temperature was lovely. Wednesday night with the running club and I was leading the 'road run' but for a bit of variation we did a fair chunk of the run along the canal towpath. Although a few too many flies in places, it was great to get away from the pavements and the traffic. Another 6 miler run at a good pace despite the warmth. There was actually a sense of relief when we turned to run in the shade into a light headwind.

Work then school governors for Annie. It's currently the Ofsted inspection for the residential care unit, so she had to meet with the inspector before the the governors' meeting. Finally we're both home for dinner at 10pm!

On the way to the run, I stopped to photograph some cows in a field intensely covered in buttercups. The cows were not up for being photographed (face on at least), this is the view they presented me. Instead I had to make do with just the buttercups.
