Gooseholme Bridge

This new footbridge over the River Kent was finally opened last October .  The original,140 year old,  footbridge had been irreparably damaged in Storm Desmond in 2015.  The new bridge not only provides a much needed footbridge but, with ramps either side,  is accessible to wheelchairs, pushchairs and cyclists, which the old one wasn't. It's now on the Sustrans cycle route 6 from Lancaster to Carlisle through Kendal
