Blairfindy Castle built in 1564 as a hunting lodge this tower house was burned in 1746 by Cumberland's forces - yet another example of the reprisals which followed Culloden. Partial restoration and consolidation after centuries of neglect took place in 2019. 

The consolidation included the inclusion of nesting boxes in the interior - built into holes which originally supported wooden floor joists. These are shown in the extra
