I found out.

A day, or three, ago; I  said I'd never seen a purple flowered Garlic.  I looked it up and all I found was that any I saw mentioned seemed to imply it was ornamental, rather than culinary.  Since today's, as I'm back-blipping, I can now add that I've pulled one up and the "Bulb" looks Garlicky;  AND the flower head is a wee bit shy of the 6" the references mentioned of the ornamental ones.
     We know and refer to "Bluebottles", I think of these, rightly or wrongly, as "Greenbottles".  I am also aware of another wee Beastie the same size as the two aforementioned - BUT - if it has a name, I've not found out but think of it as a "Greybottle".
