As Promised
My new Laburnum tree has just started to flower and I promised Susanna a picture when it did.
A very long day yet again.Started nice and early with the house alarm being tripped at just before 5am.Probably a spider.Still it got us onto the nursery nice and early.
Beautiful day with lots of sunshine and warm.We are still transplanting and potting between doing and delivering orders.Italian transplanter repaired yet again.I think it must have been made by Fiat (as everyone knows but just in case some do not Fiat stands for Fix It Again Tomorrow). It is a great machine when it is working it just doesn't work for very long.My main transplanter is a Hamilton which is made in England.
My iTunes has stopped working which is very annoying because I wanted to down load a bit more Johnny Hartman. Will look at it when I am awake enough not to put the computer through the window.
At the moment I am in the middle of reading The Cruel Sea by Nicolas Monsarrat which has coincided with the 70th celebrations of the battle of the Atlantic.Liverpool was heavily bombed during the second world war and my Grandad who worked on the docks manned a anti aircraft gun at night. His claim to fame was shooting down a German bomber over the Mersey.
Must go and get some sleep.LOng day forcast for tomorrow.
