Ballintoy
Baile an Tuaigh meaning "the northern townland"
Today, we walked from the Carrick-a-rede rope bridge along to this beautiful, picturesque fishing village. What I noticed about Northern Ireland is how remote towns and villages can feel, which isn't hard when you live in London. But this village apparently only has 165 residents, and to be honest, if you lived there, you'd want to keep it that way...it felt untouched and unspoilt, which was definitely the main part of its charm.
This blip was taken on the main harbour. The six of us managed to spend half an hour just taking in the view. We were especially entranced by a family of ducks paddling along the foreshore, carrying on regardless of the huge waves submerging them every few minutes or so. We had to tear ourselves away from the serenity to make it in time for the last whiskey tour of the day at the Bushmills distillery.
