A little bit of Rome

Martin and I were in the city this morning seeing Stephen Sondheim’s ‘A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum’ at the Surgeon’s Hall.

Stephen Sondheim’s musical farce tells the story of a slave and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. Inspired by the farces of ancient Roman playwright Plautus, this a production from Zenith Youth Theatre, Bath’s premiere award-winning youth theatre company.

It was a lot of fun and great to see youngsters acting and singing their hearts out.

Had some lunch at the City Restaurant before heading  home.

Looking forward to going out this evening to see Jo Caulfield at The Stand.

I hope you are having a good Saturday.
