Monumental drive-by

Up early to get some more work under my belt, partly because I'd arranged to meet friends for mid-morning coffee over in Terenure and wanted to keep the appointment with a clear conscience. As it happened, I had a terrific work session and was in tip-top form when I went over to the rather excellent Mayfield café. We had a grand old chat, sitting soaking up the glorious sunshine in the courtyard.

I'd been stopped at the lights approaching O'Connell Bridge on the way over, and took the opportunity of rolling down the car window and grabbing this drive-by shot of the O'Connell Monument. Just as well I did, since the rest of the day was entirely devoted to design work and the camera didn't get a chance of doing any more clicking apart from that shot of the girls in the Mayfield courtyard.
