Burning the Logs
Our buyers don’t want to buy any of our fuel which is surprising. That means a lot of logs (and heating oil) to shift. We are trying to burn through the less moveable stuff!
Otherwise a day of multiple parts. A nice breakfast at the hotel and then we picked up the keys and drove to new home to really inspect it. Now it’s empty we can see flaws and surprises that were not noticed in the viewing but overall I’m still excited. The furniture will disguise the flaws.
We then returned to base camp (first time we ever have had two homes simultaneously) and I proceeded to break the valve switch for disconnecting the dishwasher. Drove to Harwich for parts but there weren’t any so drove to B&Q in Clacton which had so many I was clueless. By good fortune I bought the right size plumbing fixtures despite measuring in mm and discovering they were sold in inches!
Fatigued, I bought a new vacuum cleaner at too expensive a price from curry’s and came home. They offered £50 off if I traded in any kitchen or tech appliance working or not, but I couldn’t face the 45 minute round trip to go back and get one. Husband was annoyed with me!!
