Objects of desire

Rolex Explorer… created in 1953 … never meant to be a luxury timepiece… but has obviously become associated over time.. 

The explorer was connected to conquest of Mount Everest.. but in reality its unclear whether a Rolex was worn at the summit in the end… potentially a watch by the British Company Smiths…
