Mollie has had enough of being blipped for now, and Henry is at home tonight having just had pizza with Jon, so I snapped this with him.
Today Mollie and I were up at 8 with a plan to walk to Coal Drops Yard, behind King's Cross Station leaving our heavy rucksacks at the Travelodge. It was cooler today, but our legs were still achy, and the prospect of a lot of walking with the bags was not a positive one. We found a restaurant where we sat outside and had breakfast.Mollie had smashed avocado on toast and I just had toast and jam, and tea of course. Then a wander around a few of the shops that were open (London doesn't open until 10 or even 11 in some places).
Back to the travelodge in time to collect bags and check out by 12. We decided to take a slow walk back across to Liverpool Street. A few small detours and bought lunch in M & S then found a bench in Finsbury Circus' which isn't a circus but a small enclosed park. There we sat and ate lunch, read and relaxed.
We feel like we know London quite well and have been playing a virtual game of Monopoly (as much as we could remember) for the last 2 days. Every road we walked down, reminded us of another property on the board.
At 5 we went to the station, browsed a few shops and then waited for our train. It was busy, but good to eventually be on our way home after a long day. We still managed 14000 steps today, even with a relaxed afternoon.
We got to Norwich at 7.45 and connected to the Cromer train. Jon picked us up at Cromer an hour later. Pizza was in the oven, a nice treat. Mollie has already crashed out, and I'm heading to bed now myself. I don't intend to wake up very early tomorrow....so can someone tell my body that please!
