Chester
Had a photo outing tonight with R from the club & Chester was the destination. We set off from the Grosvenor Bridge, pictured and walked round over the Old Dee Bridge and found some interesting spots for snapping, including two horses & their baby foals. We will be visiting this area again, defo. We had an ace time and the evening was capped off with a pint in the Falcon pub. The Grosvenor Bridge is situated by the Chester race course, which is directly behind the camera here.
We took loads of photos (150 from me, doh!). I chose this one cos it is the first time I have used masking tape to hold the shutter button down in Bulb mode for shooting in Infrared (R850 filter, which I usually have to set the camera up at 30s, f5.6 & 800ISO on a sunny day). See the settings above & you can proberbly work out why the masking tape was needed! Thanks to UrsaMinor for this.
Ps: also note the glowing "hot spot" in the centre of the image. This is common with certain lenses in IR, mainly due to the heat generated on the sensor over such long shutter periods.
Here is an alternative take with an R72 filter.Fun, fun.
Night night zzz zzz
