Talk of the Town

Birmingham Town Hall certainly would have been talk of the town 50 years ago this week because those cheeky mop topped scally newcomers The Beatles played here on 4th June 1963 (sorry, missed it by a day). First of two Birmingham gigs in 1963 and presumably promoting Please Please Me this time around. An otherwise uninspiring photo on a surprisingly grey day but I like the red concentric circles around the Chamberlain Memorial and the jaunty angle of the memorial itself caused by the lens distortion on the humble pocket camera with me today. Better ideas in my head for tomorrow. Stay tuned.
