What a Surprise!

A friend of mine gave me a beautiful double white amaryllis for my birthday last December. It was in full bloom January 9th: https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3059298146350796770
Sometime this spring I stuck it out in the courtyard with the intent of repotting it this fall and trying to coax it to bloom again. Apparently it’s on its own timetable! I can’t wait to see it!

A heat wave is forecast to descend on is tomorrow - Sunday - and will last until Thursday. I’m trying to figure out how best to schedule my Monday class - much of which is outside - so we don’t all fry in triple digit temps. Ugh.
