Why Did The Ibis Cross The Road......

.....with no caution and complete disregard for traffic lights?

This morning we made a long overdue to cousin Janet and then went to Vienna House in Hunters Hill. (See extra).
We renewed our National Trust membership this year but haven't had much luck finding places to visit. We called at this place a couple of months ago to discover it is only open on the 2nd Sunday of some months from 2-4pm. It being quite nearby, and the 2nd Sunday, we had another go.
It's just a tiny cottage built in 1871 and was the only property the NT could afford in affluent Hunters Hill. It hasn't been done up at all which makes it more authentic, and has the added bonus that it is often used by movie makers looking for an authentic setting, thus providing extra income.
The 90 year old gentleman who gave us a good commentary and tour was almost as interesting as the cottage.
