People learning to row a boat

"Have you come far?" I shouted.
"The Faroe Islands," a voice said.

This afternoon a chap delivered me my new hi-fi speakers. They were in a large box which he handed me at my door, when I had no idea of the weight involved. As soon as he had done this, he said: "I need your squiggle. "My arms and delicate hands were fully occupied with the heavy box he had given me. I lowered it to the floor with a  bit of a bump. (Why had he handed it to me in the first place? He could hav placed it down beside the door) He seemed happy with my squiggle and told me to "have a nice day," or something equally inane. So far I have not connected the speakers.
