Blessings Too Many To Count!
At FBC this morning, our cup of blessings was filled to overflowing as we celebrated both baptism and the Lord's Supper and Pastor Wes started a new series of sermons and we must not forget the blessing of music led by Daniel and the choir and orchestra and Gabe and the praise band, and the rest of our talented accompanists. Of course, we began with congregational praise and a welcome by Pastor Wes After that, we witnessed a delightful baptism, followed by the choir and orchestra and the aforementioned talented accompanists who presented an uplifting and joyful song which may still be in your head, entitled "We've Come To Bless Your Name"! After more congregational praise and worship, having completed his series of sermons from Daniel, Pastor Wes took us into Revelation 1:1-8, a part of the Bible you don't hear preached from much on a Sunday morning. What stood out most to me from that passage was in verse 3, where it says "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of the prophecy and heed the things which are written in it, for the time is near." Sounds pretty easy, but Pastor Wes has much more to say about what it means for us to live it out today in the Live-stream which I am sure would be well worth your time to watch. We closed our blessing-filled morning service with the observance of the Lord's Supper in which we are reminded of the cost of our salvation. It was a great day to be together celebrating the blessings of our sovereign God and the knowledge of His great love for us!
