Windfalls

The year turns round and already it is windfall time.
Every day after breakfast it is my job to gather the latest fallers before the Codling moths and wasps wake up.

Mrs. K. stews and freezes them and all winter they will be part of the breakfast menu.

Later in the year it will be the turn of the Bramleys and the cordons.
