The Dirt Jumps

My boy and I have been heading over to the Dirt Jumps.
The Dirt Jumps are located near the center of our town, on land adjacent to the railroad tracks. theses Jumps are build and maintain by the kids themselves. it's a hang out. every once in a while the town comes in and levels the land in an attempt to kick the kids out. and "clean up" the area.

the kids come back and rebuild it bigger and better. there has to be close to 100 hits, each one bigger than the next. there are small, "beginner" hits, they get gradually bigger, all the way to "Oh My God" that's SICK.

there is all sorts of talent, there are kids that have a hard time getting of the ground, and there are kids hitting 10 footers, 360deg, table top, KICKs.

For my boy, this place is Heaven on earth. he has been getting good Air!

I chose this picture not because it the most rad, but because it shows a kid airing it out, the other kids hanging out and judging. it also shows a few of the other jumps in the background!
