Jack Sprat and his wife

I was happy to see my neighbor's cosmos starting to bloom in white and pink so I took a few snaps. And when I cropped in on a patch of the flowers, I noticed the one on the left had long thin petals compared to the one on the right. And that reminded of the nursery rhyme about "Jack Sprat could eat no fat and his wife could eat not lean."
My thoughts get curious and curiouser!
