Hot Stuff
Our first events at the Book Festival coincided with a broadside from an assorted gaggle of authors aimed at its sponsor, Baillie Gifford. Apparently they’re the people responsible for climate change! Who knew?
Shamefully we crept into the first event - Christopher Miller interviewed by Alan Little. Ukrainian stuff, though I think we learned very little. Out for brunch to the Treehouse before we sneaked back to watch Wes Streeting interviewed by Ruth Davidson. A terrifically entertaining session, and the peoples’ Baroness certainly wasn't acting as a patsy which seemed to suit the future Labour leader* pretty well.
Out and off to Tynecastle where “the game” had already kicked off. Luckily it was still nil-nil when I arrived. Sadly, but equally luckily, it was nil-nil at the end. Still, that’s two games in and we’re unbeaten. Blah blah blah…. zzzz
* its says here. Oh, that’s his book.
